another use case is suppose you want to say hey whoever has passed complete this course I want to add them to a particular group and then you can select which group to add to looks like we don't have any group configured so we can go here list and user group so these are dynamic groups which means their membership are dynamic so let's create something called successfully how about defeated so let's say that's the name of the group we'll have and uh... click on save so that's the name of the group now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go back to the course that we were setting up and I'm going to say if you finish this one I'm going to put you in that group and then you can use that group to do a variety of other type of uh... enrollment or notification or mechanics so there's uh... several video tutorials on how to use user groups to do more advanced settings but in this case I can say if you complete I'm going to add you to this group so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to actually finish the course and see what happens so I'm going to go to the thor course and I'm going to complete it so now that I have completed let's confirm that the user was added to the group so there's one user and that's me and if I go to the user account I will be able to actually see the fact that I was added to the user group because of the trigger so OSS does do a good job of auditing everything it does just in case we need to retroactively figure out why certain things happened so this is another example of using a trigger that we already talked about which is passing the exam but the triggered action is something new which is adding the user to the group
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker discusses a use case for adding users to a specific group. They demonstrate how to configure dynamic user groups and create a group called "Successfully Defeated." By setting up a trigger, when a user completes a course, they are added to the group. The video mentions that there are more advanced settings available for user groups, but in this case, completing a course triggers adding the user to the group. The speaker confirms that they were added to the group and mentions that the OSS system audits actions for retroactive analysis. The video references a previous discussion on using triggers to pass exams.
