This video tutorial will go over how to do a live course where the content is actually pre-recorded. We are going to start with a very very simple example and slowly build on top of a simple example and make it more and more complicated. So to get started, login as administrator, go to the courses and click on add course and then select live course. So we are just going to give it a name, let's for example, future of mobile learning using a mobile app. There we go. I gave it a name, let's call it mobile learning. Obviously this is really not an important part of my tutorial, but I am just going to put something meaningful. We keep this the same unless your setup requires registration for live course that uses integration. I am going to skip this part, I am just going to do a very very basic setup of a live course and then we can get more and more complicated. So here we go, we reached the end. Now what we are going to do is under sessions, I am going to add a new session. So right now it is 4.27, April 27th and I am going to select April 27th and it is 1.13, so I am going to select 1.30 as a date, oh I am sorry, 1.30 as when this session is going to start and I will just pretend that it is one hour, even though I am not going to upload a one hour pre-recorded video. And now for the online meeting, instead of using the integration points, I am going to select pre-recorded content. I am not going to check any of these boxes in this tutorial, but in the following tutorial we will show how those works. But let's just leave those empty and I am going to click on save. So now what I am going to do is I am just going to upload a single pre-recorded content. So I am going to select upload and I am going to just, I am just going to download a particular video that is available on Dropbox. So I am just going to grab the Dropbox link and do that. So on my Dropbox, there is a solution day video that I recorded a while ago, copy this link and I am just going to paste it here. So notice, so what I am doing here is instead of uploading one gig of video, I am just going to give it a Dropbox link and the Oasis will download it directly. This just allows me to click on save and move on. So now I have created the video, I have uploaded the video to the system. What I will do is I will also keep this reuse for on demand just there and I will show you what happens if you uncheck the box. But typically you want to do this just so that when the live course ends, the user who registered for the live course can re-watch the video. So this is processing, while it is processing, I am just going to click on publish. And keep in mind, one thing that Oasis will try to do is, Oasis will try to create the impression that this course is live, even though the course is not live. And right now, this particular video, I happen to pick a fairly large video, so it is going to be, probably it is going to be, take a while to process. So right now it is 9% transcoded, I am going to pause the video and I am going to resume the video when it has been fully published, fully transcoded. So it took a while for the video to get recorded, so it is 2.24 right now, so I am actually going to just move the date to 2.30, so that we can see how this course behaves, both before 2.30, which is before the course starts, and after 2.30, which is when the course actually starts live streaming. So it has been published, so I am going to switch to a different browser, and this is, I am just going to say mobile app is the key word I am going to search. So on the catalog, I am just going to search for this course. So we are going to, this is the default cover image for the course, so I am going to start, and here we go. So now notice that this course starts at 2.30, and it is 2.26 right now. So when I click on join course, it basically doesn't play anything. So it has this default image, which happens to be the image of, the default cover image for the entire system. So it just looks a little bit weird, right, by having basically nothing displayed other than just the image. So there is a couple of things we can rectify that. So what we can do is, on the admin side, we can give this course an image, so we can have a cover image, let's say we want to put this image there. So now if I switch over, you will see that the image changed to the image of the course, which may not actually do much, but at least you can see how you can control the image for this live course that plays pre-recorded video. A better solution would be to go to the session and upload a wait screen content. So I am just going to upload a video. So now this is a video that is going to be played while, if the user arrives early. So what we are going to do is we are going to click on save. So now keep in mind, this is the video that is going to be played while the user, so if the meeting starts live streaming at 2.30, if I arrive at 2.27, instead of looking at the default screen, right here, I am going to look at a video, and you can use this video to broadcast any type of housekeeping item, like remember to do this, have a shout out to our sponsor, if you have sponsors, or whatever you want to put in the video. Keep in mind the only thing is that it is just a video, so you can get as creative as you want. So what we are going to do is just wait for that video, oh there we go, it has been processed. So now if I come over here, and I refresh, you will see that it is a video that is going to be played for the user before they show up. So let me just navigate into the course one more time. I am going to mute it, there we go. So this is a video, so you can have maybe the course coordinator that is saying something about the course, whatever you decide to do, this is going to be played in a loop until the meeting actually starts. So I am just going to pause, actually it is almost time, I am just going to pause a little bit because it starts at 2.30 and it is already 2.29. Okay I just resumed the recording, so we are just about 10 seconds away from the video actually start playing for real as a live stream, and this is the whole point of, there we go, you can see that it just started playing the actual pre-recorded video that I want to simulcast to everybody at the same time. So this is an example of how a live course that is really playing pre-recorded content, but it is in a format that feels like a live course. In the next few video tutorials we will try to focus on making it more of an interactive experience just because the whole idea of having a watch party is so that they can socialize with themselves.
