first method of interaction between live course attendee is that I can turn on a live chat. So if I turn on a live chat, this is what happens. I'm going to switch back here. When I join the meeting, there's going to be a live chat on the right-hand side. And I can type, say, you know, hi from Chicago. So anyone who is live streaming this can start chatting and the things are just going to stream on this side. So that's one way that you can create some type of interaction. Obviously, it's going to be difficult for me to create the type of back and forth bantering while I'm recording this instructional video because nobody is actually watching the same video as me and they're going to talk back. But the idea is, as you can see, that is how the live chat works. Now imagine you said a full, unmoderated chat that is that render risk of someone saying something nasty is not your cup of tea. What you can do then is you can say, I don't want live chat, but I want a live Q&A. So right now we have Slido integration. So I'm just going to use a Slido link that I've already used before. I'm going to click on Save. So now you're basically switching to say, instead of using live chat, I'm using a Slido. So I can type in my name. My name, let's just pretend it's David Wong. And then we have basically a very simplistic integration with Slido. And then you can start asking questions. And this does require integration with Slido. This does require that you have your own account with Slido, which will have a separate documentation on how to do that. But as you can see, as long as you have a link, it's very easy for Oasis to basically link over your Slido account so that you can manage the live Q&A as part of your live course experience. So this is just another sort of extra layer of complexity on top of a live course where the content is broadcasted using pre-recorded content. What's nice about this setup is the presenter of the video might be available to do the live chat or answering Q&A without actually having to present via Zoom because, you know, he will be freed up. So this is how live chat or live Q&A works using a live stream type of setup. And this is definitely a feature that's available using Zoom as well. But Zoom has its own live chat and its own live Q&A. And I use Zoom as a substitute for all kind of webinar platform. So those are still available to you. But this is just a way to do something that's entirely on the platform.
Video Summary
In the video, the presenter explains two methods of interaction for live course attendees. The first method is turning on a live chat feature, where attendees can chat and interact with each other during the live stream. The second method is using a Slido integration to have a live Q&A session. This requires a separate Slido account and allows attendees to ask questions that the presenter can answer. The presenter mentions that using these features frees them up from presenting live via Zoom and allows them to manage the interaction more easily. The video also mentions that similar features are available on Zoom as well. No credits were mentioned in the video transcript.
