This tutorial will show how editor role is implemented within OASIS LMS. First, we have to find the user who needs to be an editor. We find the user and we click on edit next to the user permission and then we change the user type to exam editor. Now that the user has become an editor, we will be able to show how the editor role is implemented. But before we start, we'll assign a few questions for this particular editor to perform their review. What we're going to do is we're just going to do some simplistic searches, such as give me all the questions that's ready for review or review completed. And suppose we want to give these 10 questions, what we're going to do is we're going to scroll down. As administrator, I will be able to say, OK, I want these questions to be reviewed by Sarah Johnson. As soon as I click on assigned, these questions will show up for the editor to review. As you can see, you can have multiple editors and give them individualized review assignment. And if we click on one of these questions, we'll see that the log shows that Sarah Johnson has been assigned as the editor review for this question. Now, we are going to log in as Sarah Johnson. When Sarah Johnson log in, as you can see, there is a list of questions that is ready for her review. This is the same list of questions that was just assigned by the administrator. As the exam editor, Sarah Johnson can click on it. As you can see, the editor has permission to change everything about the question except the status of the question. So we can say, what is the right answer? As the editor make any changes, she or he can click on save to keep the change. When the editing review is completed, we mark, mark as reviewed. As you can see, we'll track who is editor for the review and who has completed. When the editor has finished reviewing a question, on the homepage, it's going to show up under question reviewed. As you can see, as the editor works through the questions for the review, this list will shrink for review required and question reviewed list will grow. Anytime the editor can log in and search for the questions that's completed or pending review, editor can also look at other questions, however, they do not have permission to make edit to the question that they are not responsible for review. So for example, they can search for ready for review, but if these questions are not assigned to her, she will not be able to click on edit. As more editors are assigned to review questions, we can actually quickly click on editor review and select which editor we want to search for and for all the questions that either the reviewer has reviewed or has not reviewed. And then we can click on apply and this will search and return all the questions that the particular reviewer has reviewed or have not reviewed. This concludes the quick tutorial.
Video Summary
This video tutorial demonstrates how to implement the editor role in the OASIS LMS platform. The process begins by finding the user who needs to become an editor and changing their user type to "exam editor." Once the user has been assigned editor privileges, the administrator can assign specific questions for them to review. The editor can access the assigned questions and make changes, except for the question's status. They can also mark the review as completed. The system keeps track of the editor's activity and displays a list of questions that have been reviewed. Multiple editors can be assigned, and each editor only has permission to edit their assigned questions. The tutorial concludes by showing how the system allows for filtering and searching based on the editor's activity. No credits were mentioned in the transcript.
