Video Transcription
Now that we have closed caption automatically generated, we want to highlight two new features that's available. First is a video teleprompter, the second one is video summary. Teleprompter is a way to show user a transcript along the video that allows search and the quick fast-forward, while video summary takes all the closed caption and create a summary for the video. We're using OpenAI to do this summarization. In this particular example, because I want to demo how to fast-forward within the transcript, I have to click on the here. I'm sorry, I'm going to say that this video is not required. That way I can highlight how to use the teleprompter to fast-forward to places. If I kept it as required, the user will not be able to jump to different parts of the teleprompter by doing a search. Now that I have enabled teleprompter and summary and disabled this required option, I'm going to come over to the learner side, I'm going to click on refresh. Notice that the transcript is displayed here, and I can play it. Then you notice that the transcript on the right-hand side will automatically scroll as the video plays on the left-hand side, and they are fully synchronized. Then what you can also do is, I'm just waiting for the guy to finish talking. There we go, you can see that it auto-scrolls. I can actually say, I know that I look for something that's called the hot-roll process. I'm going to do a search. Here's everything that has the word hot-roll. I can go to say 42. Let me go to the 41 minute. There we go. You can see that you allow the user to search against the transcript and allow the user to actually click on the search to fast-forward. Obviously, if they don't search, they can still fast-forward to any position based on where they're at. I'm going to click on this. I'm going to fast-forward. Let's say I'm going to go to 17 minutes. You can see that the user can basically jump back and forth, knowing exactly which part of the video they're going to, instead of using the scrubber here and try to estimate where they want to go. Last but not least, under summary, this is basically a summary of this one-hour video. In case the user does not want to watch the whole video, this is a summary of what the user is about. If user doesn't want to look at this, they can just minimize and continue to watch, like so. This highlights how you can enable the teleprompter feature and the summary feature, if that is something that you think your user will benefit from. Keep in mind that these two features are disabled by default, and you have to enable it on your own, because currently, we are testing this new feature out and we are collecting feedback. In the future, we will have these two toggles enabled by default, and you will have to turn it off if you don't want this feature. Thank you.
Video Summary
The video discusses two new features: video teleprompter and video summary. The teleprompter displays a transcript alongside the video, allowing users to search and fast-forward. The video summary takes the closed caption and creates a summarized version. OpenAI is used for the summarization. The teleprompter feature is demonstrated by showing how to fast-forward within the transcript. The transcript is synchronized with the video, and users can search for specific terms and click on the search results to fast-forward. The video summary provides a condensed version of the video. These features are currently disabled by default but can be enabled based on user preferences. No credits were given.
