After you submit a ticket on what are the user professions for PARS reporting purpose, we will probably need to jump on a phone call and discuss how to identify your user's profession and how to map them for their user profession for PARS reporting purpose. Now, we're just going to use a few examples of how some of our clients are doing this, but everybody will be slightly different. So, the first example is, if your user needs to register for accounts, some of our clients will actually ask the user for a profession, and whatever they select in here will be mapped to their actual profession. So, for example, this particular client will say that they will select a user profession, and these are the user professions that I will want to use for reporting purpose, and notice that most of them are a one-to-one relationship, except that physician MD slash DO is mapped to profession, and there is an additional profession that they're tracking that's also mapped to other. Some other client might say that, hey, I am using an intercept page to prompt the user instead of a profile page, and that list of professions that I collect from the intercept page is something like this. This is a list of professions that users submit in the intercept page, and I would just say, oh, this is physician. So, they might say that physician is mapped to physician, everything else is mapped to other because they will only report on physician versus other, and additionally, it is possible that your single sign-on, if you are doing single sign-on, is sending over some attributes so that we don't need to use a user profile or intercept page. So, for example, in this example, the single sign-on page actually brings over the user's profession. We just have to get a list of all the possible user professions, and then how to map those professions to what we refer to as PARS professions. So, that is this question of how do I know the user's profession and how do I take that list of professions and map to the profession for PARS reporting purpose will be something that we probably need to set up a call to agree so that we can implement this mapping. Thank you.
Video Summary
When submitting a ticket for PARS reporting, a phone call may be required to discuss how to identify and map user professions. Clients may ask users to select a profession during registration, which will then be mapped to their actual profession for reporting. Another approach is to use an intercept page where users submit their professions, with physician being mapped separately and the rest falling under "other". Alternatively, if using single sign-on, user professions can be brought over from the sign-on page. In this case, a list of all possible professions is needed to map them for reporting purposes. A call will be needed to agree on the mapping implementation.
