Occasionally, you might need to collect additional demographic information from your users, regardless if your user is coming on through single sign-on or registering account directly in OASIS. We refer to this as user profile. To enable user profile, go to Tools, User, User Fields, and Enable User Profile. Once you have enabled the user profile, go to Dashboard, go to Tools, Configuration, and then you will see a tab that says User Profile. There's a few things you can do on this user profile. You can add a new field. So what we're going to do is we're going to just set up a couple new fields so you can see. So first prompt, let's say, what is your, let's say, where do you live? And this field name is, let's say, called where do you live? And this is probably going to be free text. And you can see that this is required field. I'm not going to check admin only, so that user has to fill this out. And then I'm going to add another one. Let's say, we're going to say, what age are you? And the field name is called age, and this is a dropdown. And the value is going to be, let's say, less than 18, 18 to, say, 25, 26 to 40, 41 to 60, and above 61. Suppose that is, and I'm also going to say this is required field. So I have simply asked two questions, but as you can see, you can have as many fields as you want. Now, I'm going to have another browser, and I'm going to register for account. So I'm going through the registration process, but if you have a single sign-on process, the user will be prompted for the user's profile section. So here you can see, where do you live? I can say Chicago. And what is your age? And I'm going to say this selection. So as you can see, the user profile is being prompted. So let's say we're going to create an account. I'm going to call this account September 13, because that's today's date. And I'm going to create a password to show that that's how the user had to log in. So then the user will be able to log in, September the 13th, they will be able to log in, voila. Now, suppose you say, hey, user is confused. You can add instructions to say, we will not share your profile data. And suppose you also want to just say a lot of other things to let the user know. So you can do that. So that's just a little bit of instruction. Give me one second, I'm just going to delete this part, there we go. And then let's say I want to add a new field. Let's call it, can we contact you in the future? Okay, contact. And then this is going to be, let's say, a dropdown. It's going to be yes or no. Okay, once again, it's also a required field. So now what I want to show is when the user log in, if you have a new field added, since the last time the user logged in, user will have to log in, user will have to enter, to answer any questions that you have created since the last time they logged in. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to log in as this user that I created earlier. But notice that not only this instruction displayed to the user, but the user will have to answer any question that is created since the last time they logged in. So this recording should show you how you can set up, enable the user profile, set up the user profile questions, how you can create instructions, in case you believe that your user might need some instructions about how to fill out the profile. Lastly, how the system will re-prompt the user if you have added or changed any profile questions. Thank you.
