Suppose a year or two after you have launched this bundle, you have a new addition for the growth mindset. So I'm just going to add this new addition, growth mindset 2022. So now what you want to do is you want to say, hey, for anyone who has already finished growth mindset, I don't want you to do growth mindset 2022 in order to complete this particular bundle. Because you already completed this version, you can do the 2022 version if you want, but you don't have to for the completion purpose. In order to set up this rule, you go to tools, equivalent course. So I'm just going to come over here and I'm going to select the bundle. This is this one. I'm going to say, hey, for the growth mindset, if someone finished growth mindset, it's equivalent that they have finished this one as well. And you can flag as bi-directional. When you do this, you also have to go to the bundle, click on manage feature, and then say account for equivalent course for completion. This is just so that we want to make sure that you are setting up two courses that's equivalent and you have the flexibility to apply the equivalency on the bundle that you care about and do not apply the equivalency on bundles that you don't want to apply. So in this case, now that I have added growth mindset and the growth mindset 2022 as equivalent, I'm going to go back to John Payton's screen. I'm going to refresh. So note that 2022 is listed. But remember, because I finished growth mindset, I do not have to do growth mindset 2022. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to click on this one. I'm just going to quickly finish to show that I will be able to complete the entire bundle without having to do the 2022 because I've already finished the equivalent course for it. So all this is a dummy questions. That's why I was able to answer fairly quickly. So I'm going to do this one. Note that I shouldn't have to do this one to be complete. So I'm going to continue on. This should be the last one I had to do inside the bundle to be considered as done with the bundle. Here we go. So now I'm done. I come over here. Notice I don't have to do the 2022 and I will be able to do the evaluation. And that's just because I did a course that is the equivalent for the 2022 version. Thank you.
Video Summary
The video discusses how to set up equivalent courses within a bundle. The speaker explains that if a new addition is made to a bundle, such as "growth mindset 2022," individuals who have already completed the previous version of "growth mindset" should not be required to complete the new addition. To set up this rule, the speaker demonstrates how to use the tools and select the bundle, flagging the equivalent course as bi-directional. By managing the feature and accounting for the equivalent course, individuals can complete the bundle without having to complete the new addition if they have already finished the equivalent course. Credits are given to John Payton for demonstration purposes.
