Keep in mind that every system's configuration is slightly different on how a program coordinator will need to gain access to a product that you have configured. So in this website I'm using for demo purpose, I would just add this product that I just created and this is how I will give access to the coordinator. Now keep in mind your system may or may not have the same mechanics. Definitely talk to the support team if you're unsure how your system is granting coordinator access to each different product. But with that said, I'm logging as a particular user that is not only administrator but also coordinator. So I'm just going to switch over to show this is the course that I just created. The coordinator can click on this link right here to set up a new one or they can click on here to set up a new one. So there is quite a few sort of configuration options at the disposal of your coordinator to decide what rules they want to set for their own program users. So we'll give it a name. Let's call this fellow exam 2024. Let's pretend that I'll give all my fellows 60 minutes to do and I want my exam to have say, I'm just going to say 10 questions here, 10 questions here, 10 questions here, 10 questions There we go. Obviously, the idea here is when you populate the product with a pool of questions, in my example it was I believe almost 800 questions, the coordinator will be able to pick and choose how many questions out of the pool they can put in their exam. Notice that coordinator don't cherry pick which question they're going to put in the exam. Instead, it's just how many questions they want to put in their exam. So with that said, that's 80 questions and then they can select how their user is going to go about doing the exam, whether it's in exam mode or learning mode, whether the question is going to be randomized or not. If it's not randomized, then all the student in their program will take the question with the same sequence of the questions, but randomized will make sure that it's harder to cheat. You can also let them know, let them decide whether they want to pick easiest questions or the hardest questions, but typically we think the random is probably a better way of gauging people's skill. And then they can also decide whether this exam that they're setting up is going to be available for everybody in their program or they want to pick which user in their program they want to have access to this exam. So as you can see here, there's quite a few users in this program and they can pick which one they want to have access. Now, there's another option for making this exam available for a certain type of user in the program. This is the cohort year, essentially. Note that not every single system is configured to track the cohort year. So if your system does not track cohort year, this third option for audience is not going to be available to you. So just keep that in mind, but in the system where I am recording my tutorial, all the students in a particular program are tracked with their cohort year and that is why this third option is available. With that said, I'm just going to select everyone in my program because that would be the easiest way to give people access and I'm going to click on save. Notice that the way you click on save, it is saved under draft status. So the coordinator can essentially tweak exactly how they want the exam to be and then when they're ready, they can publish this particular exam. Next tutorial, we'll go through a learner's perspective of how they can go about doing this exam. Thank you.
Video Summary
The video explains how a program coordinator can set up exams within a system that may differ from others. Coordinators can customize exams by selecting the number of questions and choosing between exam or learning mode, with options for randomizing questions to prevent cheating. They decide which users have access to each exam, potentially filtering by cohort year if the system tracks it. Once configured, the exam is saved in draft status for further adjustments before publishing. The next tutorial will focus on the exam process from a learner's perspective. For system-specific access settings, consult the support team.
