Video Transcription
Sometimes, when you have a discussion forum, the system will automatically display the most recent thread at the top, and this might get a little bit messy if there is any particular thread that you want the user to see at the very top. So the way to handle this is, as administrator, you can go to the course that have discussion forum enabled, you click on the discussion board, and then you look for the thread that you want to pin to the top and click on pin. So for example, if I want to pin this one, I would just click on this one to pin it. Now that I pin it to the top, if I refresh this screen, I will be able to see that introduce yourself at the top will be at the very top, so that it will never get pushed down as new threads get created. Thank you.
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker explains how to manage a discussion forum in an online course. They mention that sometimes the most recent thread is automatically displayed at the top, which can be messy if there is a particular thread that needs to be seen first. To handle this, as an administrator, one can go to the course with the discussion forum enabled, click on the discussion board, and pin the desired thread to the top. This ensures that it remains at the top and doesn't get pushed down by new threads. The speaker concludes by thanking the audience. (No credits mentioned in the transcript)
