Video Transcription
In this video tutorial, we'll show a couple ways that OASIS allows you to do sort of a peer-to-peer interactions. The first example I'm going to talk about is discussion forums. In OASIS, there are actually two types of discussion forums. One is a discussion forum that you enable at the user homepage that any user has access to. So if you log into administrator, click on dashboard, click on course layout, and make sure that the discussion is turned on. When you turn on this discussion tile, if you go to the learner side, you will notice that there's a discussion navigation. And when you click on it, you will be able to generate or reply to any thread on the system. Notice that this is what we refer to as a public discussion forum because anyone can get to this discussion forum regardless who they are as long as they log in. This is what we mean by public discussion forum.
