so now that you have some content we can turn on additional features that is allow users to do a search so we can go here we can say allow document search so when we do that what happens is i'm going to switch over to learner view again so now what happens is there's a search feature so let's say we want to search something called the procedure i can just search for the word procedure and it's going to come back with whatever content that has that keyword now imagine you want to be able to search in addition to the title you want to search against other things so i'm going to go back to the admin view to show how that will work so there is a multiple fields that oasis will automatically search against so for example for my video i can give it a caption i can i would just make this a keyword called elephant so that it will be something that is very unique okay in addition i will also make this one i will give it a tag so i'll click on here i will say keyword and let's say we'll make it a mouse so we'll have elephant and the mouse except the elephant keyword is presented as a caption here and the mouse is presented as a keyword here so you can see that the tag is colored so now what i'm going to do is i'm going to switch over to admin view and if i search for elephant okay this course comes back if but that's just because it has a caption that says elephant so if i click into it you will see that the caption says elephant so now if i search for a mouse this one will come back and if i click on it you will see the mouse in the mouse you will see that there is a mouse keyword so by putting in a caption and or meta tags or keyword tags you can nudge the search so that the search can find things that may not be too obvious on the video title
Video Summary
This video demonstrates how to enable search features for users within a content management system. By activating document search, users can easily search for specific content using keywords. The video shows an example where the word "procedure" is searched, and any content containing that keyword is displayed. The video also discusses the option to search against other fields, such as captions and keywords. By assigning unique keywords like "elephant" and "mouse" to the content, users can refine their searches and find specific information. Utilizing captions, meta tags, and keyword tags can help improve search results, even when the desired information is not evident in the video title.
