Video Transcription
Now let's suppose that you have enough videos in your document repository that keeping everything together will become a little bit difficult to manage. What you can do then is you can break your document repository into modules. So go to under configuration, you can see the content depth is going to be module based. What this means is under content now, you have the ability to set up modules. So we are just going to set up two even though you can set up as many as you want. So let's say we make the first one, we will call it how to series. And the next set of modules, let's just call it why not series. This is literally just nonsensical names I am giving just so it can be used as a name for a module. So now you can click into the module, you can add content normally either by one or batch upload. But since we have already uploaded some of the content, what we are going to do is we are going to just move the existing content that we have already uploaded into those modules. Just so that it's easier to finish up this demo. So I am just going to move them. I am going to move two, actually how many do we have? We have seven. So I am going to move three to the first module and I am going to move next four to the second module. So here we go. So now what happens is I am going to go over to the learner view. So now you can see that things are bucketed into different sections. So this allows you to organize your content if there is a logical structure to your content. But if, let's say you have a lot of buckets, it's going to be quite long if the user comes to the site and has to continue to scroll. What you can do then is you have the option to change the default setting so that the module can be opened by default or closed by default. So normally if you set it up without messing with it, it's going to be opened by default. So you can toggle this so they are going to be collapsed by default. So now what we are going to do is I am going to go to the learner side again. So it will open the first one always, it will open at least one by default so that there is no confusion to the learner on how to interact with it. Otherwise, if everything is closed, they may not realize they can open it. So even if you have everything collapsed, it will still have one open. But notice that this is a great UI setup if you have multiple modules you want to set up to group things into.
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker discusses how to organize a document repository with videos by breaking it into modules. They explain that under the configuration settings, the content depth can be module based. They demonstrate setting up two modules named "How to series" and "Why not series." The speaker then moves previously uploaded content into these modules for easier organization. They also mention that the learner view will display the content grouped into sections based on the modules. The speaker highlights the option to toggle between collapsed and expanded modules and emphasizes the importance of having at least one module expanded for clarity to the learner. Finally, they note that this setup is beneficial for arranging multiple modules. No credits were given in the video.
