One of the feature that is often used in a virtual event is the networking capability, where the user can basically opt-in, and as long as they opt-in, they can see other people who have also opt-in with their information, their interests, their organization, their title, and such. So to do this, we're just going to, I already set up one in this test, but I'm just going to create a new one to show the step it took to get there. So what we're going to do is, as administrator, you click on Add, and you have to use a document repository for a networking feature. So I'm going to click on here, I will give it to, say, Networking for Professors. Okay. Let's call it Network Pro. All right. And I'm going to make it Manage Roman because I'm going to add it to an existing virtual event. We're not actually going to use any learning content. What we are going to do is we're going to say Allow Learning Networking. And that's about it. So when you set it up, you publish it. You probably want to have a better logo, but I'm going to skip the step to do a logo just to show how this is set up. Okay. So now I've set up the product. I'm going to need to put it in the bundle I have earlier so that I can show it on the other screen. So I'm just going to add this one. And let me just say Network. Okay. So this is the one that we just created. Okay. So now if I come over here, I just hit Refresh, I will have another tile show up. And now I click on it. This is sort of the user experience. The user will see a little bit of instruction. They have ability to type in their title, organization, city, country, a little profile, and upload their own image. But if they click on Cancel, they don't get a chance to actually see other people in the system. Because this basically means you have to opt in for other people to see you in order for you to see other people. Now if you do not like, so let's just opt in to show how this works. Okay. So I'm going to say Organization. I am interested in LMS. And I'm going to put an image here. I'm just going to use this as image even though that's not my face. Okay. So that is how, and as more people opt in, you're going to have more and more tiles showing up for the user to browse.
Video Summary
The video transcript explains how to set up and use the networking feature in a virtual event. The user, who is the administrator, can create a networking feature by clicking on "Add" and selecting a document repository. They can then give it a name and choose to allow networking. Once set up, the feature can be published. Users can opt-in to the networking feature by entering their information, interests, organization, and uploading an image. By opting-in, they can see other participants' profiles and interact with them. The more people who opt-in, the more tiles will appear for users to browse.
