One more thing that we want to show is this filter. So right now the filter is a little bit bland because they only let the user filter which one they have viewed and which one they have not viewed. So what you can do is you can add additional filters. And the filter is actually completely driven of the keyword. So what I have done is I'm only messing with the first three, but here you can see that I tagged it to say this one has a keyword for elephant and mouse. As a matter of fact, I can add another one keyword. Let's call it human. There we go. So, and then this one, I have a keyword called elephant and this one, I have a keyword called mouse. Okay, there we go. So just a little bit of variety. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to do tag shortcut. So I'm going to say, I'm going to have a shortcut on there called search field, let's say by keyword. And I want the pivot on the word keyword. Okay, so now what happens is if I come over here, oh, no, here, I just refresh the screen. Now there's going to be a keyword that lists all the unique value that's available under keyword. And that's just because we pick keyword as the phrase to pivot on. If I select human, I will only see the one that has a human as a keyword. If I select elephant, I will see two because there are two that's under human, under mouse, I believe. Elephant, yes. So as you can see here, you can, if you tag all your assets with some standard set of keywords or metadata, you can easily filter by a set of a filter. And I want to make sure that the word keyword is not something special. You can easily go, but let's just set up another one to say, let's say this one is industry. And then this one is, let's say safety. And then let's say I have another industry. Let's say this one is insurance. Then what I need to do is I set up another shortcut for it by saying this one is, let's call it discover. I just want to make sure that I use something that doesn't say anything about industry to show that it doesn't, this one is what's displayed on the filter. This one is internally, you tell the system what is the key to pivot on. So now if I come over here, so here, if I do this, you can say discover, insurance and safety are listed. Notice that it's cumulative, the filter. So you sort of have to clear it to find what you're looking for. There we go. So that is how you can set up filter in addition to search, which we explained in an earlier video.
Video Summary
In the video, the presenter demonstrates how to use filters to organize and categorize content. They explain that the filter is based on keywords, allowing the user to easily sort and search for specific items. By adding tags and keywords to assets, the user can create a variety of filters. The presenter shows examples of using filters for keywords such as "elephant," "mouse," "human," "industry," "safety," and "insurance." They also mention that the filter is cumulative, meaning multiple filters can be used at once, and if needed, the filter can be cleared. The video also references a previous video on search functionality. No credits are given in the transcript.
