Hello, in this video tutorial, we will go over a few ways to customize external course. The first video in this tutorial, we will go over what is the use case for external course.  So I'm going to set up two types, and hopefully this will explain. So the first one, I'm just going to select external course, and the idea is we're going  to set up external course where the product is marketed on Oasis catalog, but the user is actually sent somewhere else to use the product or to even purchase the product.  So the first variety, let's just pretend that this is a product that is hosted somewhere else. Okay, I even say it's hosted and purchased somewhere else.  Okay, just that's the name of the course, just so we're clear. Okay, so I'm going to call it somewhere else, one, all right.  And I'm going to pretend that the credit is going to be claimed as somewhere else, so I'm just going to leave it empty.  And the user will basically go to this particular URL to make the purchase. Okay, so I'm going to click on next.  And I'm not going to do a whole lot, I'm just going to walk all the way through. And basically, just to recap, this is the product that I'm going to market on Oasis,  and then I am going to let the user purchase somewhere else. And it might be free, it might be money, it might be something, in either case, I'm sending  the user to this purchase URL to make the purchase. Okay, so that is the goal, I'm just going to click on publish.  So in this case, I'm just going to step through all the way to publish. And then I am going to come over here as a learner, John Smith, and I can see this on the catalog.  So there's a few things the user can do. But if they click on it, notice they get forwarded to a completely different page to make the purchase.  Okay, so there's right away, there is a few things that is a little bit tricky, in the sense that you probably want to let the user see a front matter about this course, when  the user click on it before you just send the user directly to somewhere else. And I'm just going to show how to do that in the next video.
