So the first thing I want to highlight is the fact that this particular course doesn't offer any credit and also it is free. So both of these may not be true because when the user actually click on it, they will quickly realize there is cost involved and it does offer credit. So what can we do? So what we can do is we cannot give a credit because technically OASIS does not issue credit. So that will cause confusion and we cannot say that it is free because it's not free. It's just free on OASIS. So when that is the case, what you can do is I'm going to click on here. You can go to settings, scroll all the way down. You can say that I'm going to hide the credit badge and I'm also going to hide the price badge. OK, so that's what I'm going to do. And then when I click on refresh, you will see that this course, the credit badge is no longer displayed. That's just because OASIS doesn't actually know how much credit the user received because it's on somewhere else. And I don't want to say a credit on OASIS because that require OASIS to issue it. So I'm just going to keep it empty so that instead of being wrong, I'm going to be vague. In addition, because I'm not charging the user for the course, I'm just going to say access instead of the actual price. So when the user click on it, the user will get forwarded here. So technically I didn't lie about how much it cost. I didn't lie about the credit amount because I didn't say anything on OASIS.
Video Summary
The video transcript discusses the issue of misleading information regarding a specific course that was claimed to be both free and without credit. However, upon further investigation, it was discovered that there is a cost involved and credit is offered. To address this, the speaker suggests hiding the credit and price badges in the course settings to avoid confusion. By not explicitly mentioning the credit or price on the platform, the speaker aims to be vague rather than incorrect. Ultimately, the user will be directed to another source where the actual cost and credit details are provided.
