tutorial, we will highlight a few features that is unique to Document Repository, which is a course type within OASIS LMS. When you add a new course, you are prompted to add to select the course type. The most common ones are at the top, but nested below, there is a Document Repository. This video tutorial will highlight some unique features that is only available when you select Document Repository. Keep in mind that Document Repository is very similar to On Demand course, but only contains content. Before we go into the features that is unique to Document Repository, it is beneficial to highlight when you want to use On Demand with content only, and when you want to use Document Repository. The best use case for On Demand with content only is if your course has only a handful of content. For a product that has a lot of content, you should use Document Repository. Also, On Demand courses, the learner can complete the course, whereas Document Repository, the learner cannot complete the course, which is also the reason why On Demand allows you to offer credit because the learner could complete, which would make them eligible to receive credit, whereas Document Repository, you are not allowed to offer credit because the learner can never complete such In addition, in the current version, OASIS-LMS does not allow you to search within content on On Demand, but it does allow you to search within a Document Repository. Lastly, there is some unique features on where Document Repository can be displayed versus the regular On Demand. So in the next few video tutorials, we'll go over some of the unique features for Document Repository.
