So in this example, I'm going to set up another webinar. The only difference is this particular webinar is going to require attendance so I'm going to say that it starts at 2 which is in 18 minutes and it ends at Let's say 2.30 just so that we don't have to wait too long for this course to end. Okay. Once again, I'm going to select online meeting and also going to use this profile and I'm going to check track attendance. Now that I have checked track attendance I'm just going to have to tell the system how long Does the user have to be attending the webinar for the user to be considered attended, right? So in this case, I'm going to say 10 minutes, even though my webinar is 30 minutes For you know recording tutorial purpose 10 minutes will suffice. I'm going to click on save So now a course has been created and What you can do is at the 2 o'clock when the meeting starts you can log into your zoom and the start your zoom webinar or you can just click on start meeting button on Oasis and they will actually The webinar so right here I'm recording myself Which is the host experience of what a webinar looks like and this obviously is a zoom webinar and then what I'm going to do is I am going to actually pause the video and Resume when people start logging in for the webinar, so I'm going to pause it now Okay. So now that I have resumed the recording as you can see I'm continue to be Recording the screen of the webinar host and you will see here under attendee There are three people that has attended they cannot actually see who else is a part of the webinar because in zoom webinar is sort of a one-to-many relationship everyone can see the host but Everyone can see the host but hosts don't see the images of the participant and participant doesn't know what other participant is Is part of the webinar? So at this point, it's already 2 o'clock so technically I can start doing whatever webinar that I'm supposed to do and I can do Q&A I can do pulls polls I can you know a whiteboard breakout room anything I need to do So what I will do now is I'm going to show how the attendance tracking work by Basically wait long enough for some user to meet the 10-minute attendance threshold and some user to Miss the 10-minute attendance threshold and then show you what the system does To automatically pull their attendance back and mark up via API and show you how Users attendance is flagged in Oasis. Okay, so with that said I'm gonna once again pause the video while the time Continued to run so that I will show you what happens maybe 15 minutes into the call. So I'm gonna pause the video now So I have resumed the recording Pretend that the webinar has has ended so notice the time is 2 16 and my meeting supposedly ends at 2 30 and It's really just because we're pertaining that the webinar actually ended 15 minutes early So now what happens is I'm just going to navigate back to the session notice that this Sync attendance button shows up. You don't have to click on it. The system will automatically sync the progress Shortly after the webinar ends, but you can force a sync by just click on it So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna click on it. Okay, so what this message is trying to tell you is You can click on it, but the data that come back from zoom API Will change over time for up to one hour and that is just because zoom Infrastructure may not have all the users that tend attendance information until up to one hour post webinar end date Even though the time is not fully update Anytime there is a change The attendance is always revised higher What that means is if for example Mickey Mouse attended the webinar for 10 minutes, but he actually attended 15 It's just because he switched a phone or something The next time you click on sync or you just let Oasis sink in the background The time 10 minutes will go to 15 but according to zoom Integration guide the time will never revise lower So with that said I'm just going to click on yes So now that have click on sync attendance what I'm gonna do is I'm going to click on here to show you Oh, wait, hold on one second. Let me just click on sync Hold on one second So now that I have synced the progress if I click on number user attended You will see this is how long the user have attended the webinar and Notice that the user who did not attend is going to be marked The attendance is not marked and the user who have attended will actually and the pass the threshold will actually go over So imagine Bill Gate actually says I did attend just for whatever reason he didn't register You can if you want check this box and the mark is attended manually and You can also click on the pencil icon and the manually set how long He claimed that he have attended the webinar just to keep the data synchronized. So this tutorial shows End-to-end how you can track users attendance duration by Leveraging zoom API. Thank you
Video Summary
The video demonstrates how to set up a webinar that requires attendance using Zoom. The presenter sets the webinar to start at 2 PM and end at 2:30 PM. The presenter then shows the host experience and pauses the video until people start logging in. After resuming, the presenter explains the one-to-many relationship in a Zoom webinar and starts the webinar activities like Q&A and polls.
