Video Transcription
In this video tutorial, we will talk about how a multi-part course can be structured with DRIP schedule. On the left-hand side is the admin screen. As you can see, this is a multi-part course that happens to have 20 child courses. And on the right-hand side is the learner experience of someone who has already started the course. And as you can see, he has finished two courses. So if you're not familiar with multi-part course setup, please review the tutorial on multi-part. But if you're familiar with multi-part, you can see that this is a very simple certification program where the user will have to go through each course, each module within each child course within this module. You can set prerequisites so that they have to go in a particular sequence. But there is no time element associated with how they can engage with your program. This tutorial will talk about how you can put a time constraint on how the user will engage with your product. So what we're going to do is first is I will reset my progress because you cannot set a DRIP schedule after the user has already started the program. So we will reset my progress to start over. So here we go. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to set up the most simple DRIP schedule. So make sure you're under the multi-part and then you go to DRIP schedule. We're going to go through a rolling start because that is probably the most common way of doing a DRIP schedule. So rolling schedule means, actually you can read the instruction, but the idea is everyone has their own schedule based on when they start. So I'm just going to drag this over. So module 1 available on day 1, module 2 available on day 7, module 3 available on day 14. As you can see, I can basically stagger them out so that it's every seven days the user will have access to one additional module. The idea here is the user cannot just rush through everything that you have to offer. They have to go according to a schedule that you have. So I'm going to pause the video and come back when I finish. So now that I have set up the DRIP schedule that is one every week, no, one every seven days, I'm good to go. Some questions that we always get from our user is how do I make changes, right? So very easy. You can have two modules in the same day if you want to release it. You can also drag it to the trash icon to open it up. When you open it up, it's going to say unspecified and then you can drag here. So that is how you set up the schedule. Okay, actually, there we go. Next tutorial, we'll talk about the user experience and how you can override the schedule.
Video Summary
In this video tutorial, the speaker discusses how to structure a multi-part course using a DRIP schedule. The admin screen on the left shows a multi-part course with 20 child courses, while the learner screen on the right shows progress on two completed courses. The tutorial explains that the certification program requires users to complete each course and module in sequence. The speaker demonstrates how to set up a time constraint by using a rolling start DRIP schedule, where modules become available every seven days. The video also briefly mentions that users can make changes to the schedule if needed. The next tutorial will cover user experience and how to override the schedule. No credits are mentioned in the video.
