Video Transcription
Notice that by default, for anyone who has already purchased the course, they will continue to have access to the course. The only restriction is that they cannot claim credit for that course if they have not already done so. So once again, as Adam Chicago, if I come over here, you will see that I can still interact with the video, and so there we go, I can still interact with the video, and if your course has more than one video, or has test, pre-test, post-test, the user has full access to that course. Now, if you say that any course that has expired, I would like the user to lose access, you do have to override the default behavior, and when you do that, let's just navigate out to show that the user can still see it on their homepage, but when they try to get into it, everything has been disabled. Notice that administrator has a couple more finer configuration option to say, I want the same behavior, but only if they haven't started. So if they bought the course, but they never bothered to start, I want them to lose access. In addition, you can also say that they will only lose access if they didn't finish, but if they have finished, I want them to continue to have access. But lose access, period, is the strongest statement to say, regardless, you're not getting into this course anymore. Thank you.
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker explains the access restrictions for an online course. Those who have purchased the course will continue to have access, but cannot claim credit if they haven't done so already. Interacting with videos and other course components is allowed if the course has multiple videos or tests. However, if a course has expired, the user will lose access unless the default behavior is overridden by the administrator. The administrator can further customize access restrictions based on whether the user has started or finished the course, or simply restrict access altogether.
