Video Transcription
Here, we have a situation where the client replaced the SCORM file, but the SCORM file that replaced the old one is not compatible, meaning you were supposed to replace the SCORM file with an equal version or something that's backwards compatible with the old one. But in this case, it was not. So it's like you replaced an orange with an apple when instead you were supposed to replace it with another orange. So the proper way to do this is to disable the visibility of the old SCORM and add a new SCORM. The reason for that is because all this progress is retained and then when the new people start, they won't see this. They will see the new SCORM that was loaded in replacement of this. And since it's not replaced within the SCORM, it's not going to replace all the progress that was here. Unfortunately, this is as simple as like you were watching a movie, say Rocky 1. You walk away, get some lunch, and when they come back, they already placed in Rocky 2. So you were halfway through the movie and now you can't see what was there before because they just replaced it with a brand new disc that wasn't Rocky. It's not Rocky 2. And that's the same effect this has. That's why this user on their end, even though it's marked as completed because they completed it when it was the older SCORM, they have this for the progress, for not attempting because there's a new SCORM there that is not compatible with the one he took. Now what you could do when you're in this situation is there's a reset button for the progress here. You could click that and then mark it as complete. What that will do is it'll update it. Let's see if we need to. No, it's already there. So now we need to mark it as viewed and then refresh this. So now we go back out. We should see 11, oh, it still doesn't update the progress bar. So unfortunately next time it's still better to just add a new SCORM and then just click on the eye to disable this one. Not the X, just the eye.
Video Summary
The video discusses a scenario where a client replaced a SCORM file with an incompatible one, similar to swapping an orange for an apple instead of another orange. To rectify this, the old SCORM should be disabled and a new one added to ensure seamless progress for new users. The situation is likened to switching from watching Rocky 1 to Rocky 2 midway through, leading to confusion and loss of progress. To address this issue, users can reset progress, mark as complete, mark as viewed, and refresh. It is recommended to add a new SCORM and disable the old one for a smoother transition.
