Now that we have this image that is loaded as a part of the CMS feature within OASIS, I'm going to click on this little link icon and I'm going to copy what is under direct link. So this is the raw link to the image itself. As a matter of fact, if I just go to the browser itself, you can see that that is the image itself. Now what I can do is I can come over here where this looks like an image, but it's actually a blob of text, the created image. I'm going to click on the pencil icon. As you can see, it's taking a while to spin. So I'm going to click on this little element, this little tool, to open up the HTML. And what I'm going to do is you will look for an image tag where it says blob. And you can see this really difficult to read right here. You want to make sure that you highlight everything right after the quotes, sorry, right after the quotes where it says blob. You want to start with blob. You copy all the way to right before the quotes, the ending quote starts. You're going to delete and you're going to go control V to copy the actual URL that has been created by the content management system. I'm going to click on save. So now it is actually much, much faster. So notice here, what I'm going to do is I'm going to come over here. So remember before it was 10 megs. Now I'm just going to, oh, hold on a second. I'm going to hit F12 again. And just to prove that it is faster, I'm just going to hit refresh. It is so fast, as a matter of fact, it's barely noticeable. Notice the size of the page has went from 10 megs to 5 megs. So obviously there are certain things that we did not reduce, but the image itself is now being rendered as an image instead of rendered as a lot of text that is then converted back to an image in real time. So this is going to be much faster. Thank you.
Video Summary
The video demonstrates updating an image in a CMS (Content Management System) within OASIS. The process involves copying the direct image link, replacing a text blob in the HTML with this URL, and saving the changes. After this adjustment, the webpage's load time significantly improves, reducing from 10 MB to 5 MB. The revised method renders the image directly, enhancing speed by eliminating the need for real-time conversion from text. This optimization shows noticeable improvements in webpage performance, showcasing a faster and more efficient image loading method.
