Video Transcription
Hi, in this video tutorial, we'll show how to set up an email campaign. I'm going to use a demo site to set up the initial email campaign, and then in the later video tutorials, we'll use an actual client site that is doing real drips. But to set up the email campaign, I would like to do it on the demo site, just so that I don't conflict with an existing email campaign that has already been set up. So when you log in, go to tools, email campaign, and then click on campaigns. So here you can set up multiple email campaigns. I'm just going to start the first one. I'm going to click on to say this is the invitation to register for 2021. This name is never displayed to anyone other than administrator, so you can make it to say whatever you want, as long as it makes sense to you. You can also give it a little instruction description, so you remember. So this is a series of emails to drive registration traffic for our 2021 event. Okay. So after you set it up, you click on into the campaign, you can start setting up drips. So as I said in the earlier video, each campaign can have one drip, which doesn't quite make sense if you want to keep reminding user, the whole idea of email campaign is you have multiple touch points leading up to what you're driving the user to do. So I'm going to set up a new drip. So sequence. So let's say this one is initial invitation. And then notice I always say wave one, just as my naming convention. So I know that's the first way that's being sent out. So this is, I will use all the users who have registered for 2020 event as a baseline for target emails. Okay. Just so that I can remind myself what to do. And then you can, I will recommend as a good plan, it's just a plan out all your drips ahead of schedule, even though it doesn't quite matter. You're not married to the drip until you actually send out the email blast, right? But you can say the second one is going to be Thanksgiving, right? Because that's what I'm going to do in the example I have. So this is a use Thanksgiving as a opportunity, opportunity to send a holiday greeting to all users, to all users, regardless if they have registered or not. And then register now and remind the user about upcoming, about registering for the 2021 event. There we go. Let's, yes. Okay. So there we go. So you can definitely set this up. And then the next video will actually show how to set up the drips with the emails and send out the email blast. But at least right here, you can see how you can set up drips as a part of your email campaign. Thank you.
