Let's take the example that we have been using, except this time, and also I have removed the approval step to make this as simple as possible. But we're going to allow the user to submit this request unlimited number of times, which is probably the most suitable configuration for this type of self-report if you're going to let the user submit as many activities that they have earned credit for external to the learning management system. There is an additional optional field that allows you to cap the amount of credit they can claim as a part of this flow, and if you leave it empty, the user will be able to claim unlimited amount of credit. So for this example, I'm just going to leave it empty. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to flip over to the browser, and I'm going to show what the user experience looks like. So I'm going to create, let's say this one is Red Cross America, and it's the exact same fields that I'm supposed to fill out. So the first time through the request, there really is no difference. Let's say it's request for credit. So now you can see that there's another button that says new request. In addition, I can go back here, I can see that this is request, and I can submit a new one. So as you can see here, by allowing unlimited request, the user will get a new request button even after they have already submitted the request. So next one, let's make it right across, let's say Europe, and let's say here's a certificate, and let's say this one is two and a half. So as you can see here, now the user can basically claim as many credits as they want as a part of this process, and most importantly, they can download the data they submitted if they want to hold on to it as their own personal archive, and the administrator has full access to everything the user has submitted, and they can also download it. So this is a slightly different use case, more complicated than the simple one that we just went through, where the user can submit unlimited amount of credit.
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker demonstrates a self-reporting feature in a learning management system. The speaker removes the approval step to simplify the process. Users can now submit their request an unlimited number of times. There is an optional field to cap the amount of credit they can claim, but for this example, it is left empty. The user interface is shown, allowing users to create new requests and submit additional ones even after previous submissions. Users can also download their submitted data, and administrators have access to all user submissions. This use case allows for unlimited credit claims.
