This video will show one of the ways to sell advertising space on Oasis LMS catalog. So on this page, you can see that there's just three courses we have listed, and depending on how your catalog template looks like, you might have a slightly different look and feel. And there's a little white space where my mouse is circling, where we can put banners. So I'm going to switch to a different browser that is on the admin side, and I'm going to go to catalog settings and the catalog banner setting. So I'm going to click on here. I'm going to add a new banner. So there are three types of banner that you can set up. One is the announcement banner that doesn't really do anything other than display a message. Another banner can take user to another website, and this is what we're going to highlight. You can also add a banner that take the user to a course that is already on the learning management system. to advertise essentially your own stuff instead of sending the user to somewhere else. So we're not going to do that. We're just going to do take user to external site where we're going to sell some advertising space. So in this case, as you can see, you need to let the system know where you want the user to go to. So I'm just going to pretend that I'm going to send it to Microsoft.com. Soft. Okay. Pretend that's where I'm going to go. So here we go. And I'm going to upload a banner. And I actually have a banner already on my computer. Banner one. If I can find it. There we go. And notice the banner is recommended size is 1200 by 125. You can put some messages, but let's not do that. We're not going to go over ad agency until another tutorial, but you can also do ad agency script. You can dictate when this ad is going to show up. And you can decide whether this ad is going to show up before the user login and or after the user login. In this case, I'm going to toggle them both as off. So I'm going to click on save. And then just for complete sake, I'm going to add another banner. Also take the user. And this time I'm going to take the user to Amazon.com. Okay. So here we go. And I'm going to select another banner. And I'm going to do the same thing. I'm going to click on save. So I have two banners and I'm going to refresh my screen. So you can see this banner is showing up and there's a little arrow that allows the user to navigate. If the user does not mouse over, it does rotate on itself. And if I click on it, notice that he opens in a different page where you can take the user to wherever you want the user to go. Currently, Oasis does not track how many times people look at the banner or how many times people click on the banner. We are planning to add some analytics behind this type of banner, but right now it's not tracking it. Thank you.
