Video Transcription
Hello, in this video recording, we're going to pretend we're a student called Bill Gates who is ready to be a certified Microsoft security professional. And in order to do that, he has logged in and he has purchased three courses, knowing that he only needs to do two. As you can see here, he can click on badges, and he can click on this badge. And obviously, if you have more, there's going to be more tiles, but he's going to click on this one, and he's going to be able to understand that he needs to do zero out of two. And here's the descriptions, and here's the requirements. And some of the actions that he can take after he earns the badge is displayed, but not enabled. So now what he's going to do is he's going to take these courses. As you can see, all the courses that we have set up are very, very simple course, literally you just click on it, you're done. That's just because this video tutorial is not about how to set up an on-demand course. If you have reached this point, you should know how to set up an on-demand course in Oasis. So I already set up these two courses. If I go to badges, now it says achieved, and then when I click on it, notice that the status is completed, and all this button has been enabled. So we're going to go backwards. We're going to click on copy shareable link, and this is a link, I'm going to click on copy, that user can share by posting to their Facebook, posting to their email signature, and anyone who click on this link will be able to see exactly what is offered as a part of this badge. Notice that this, I opened a brand new browser, you do not have to log in, and that you would have your logo display here, and everything that we have put into the badge is part of the display, and then when they click on it, it's going to say exactly who is it issued to, when is it issued, who is it issued by, which is a setup process we discussed, and whether it is verified or not. So this is a link that the user can copy, and then give to anyone, or put it in their email signature. Here is where the user can just click to view badge, and the reality is, when they click on it, essentially is similar to exactly the same as if they copy the link, and then put it in their browser. Now we're going to talk about these two links, so I'm going to talk about this one first. So in order to show this in action, I'm going to close this browser, because this is my Incarnado browser, and I'm just going to click on user, and I'm going to use my regular browser to demonstrate the next part, because my regular browser is already logged in to my own personal LinkedIn account. So I'm going to navigate back here, I'm going to click on share. When you click on share, the user gets sent over to LinkedIn, and then they will be able to decide whether they want to share in a post, or sent as a private message. So at this point, actually, the user are basically on LinkedIn, logged in to LinkedIn, and then they are able to share this. And at this point, LinkedIn takes over. I'm just going to show how you can set a private message, you can send to, let's say, Novita Lee, and then you can basically have a message to Novita with this link. So that's one thing they can do. Another thing they can do is add to their LinkedIn profile. When they do that, integration browser comes up, and they can decide what they want to do, but what I'm going to do here is I'm just going to click on save. And I'm going to click on next, post. So now that I have posted, you can see here, it's listed right here under their license, and certifications, it's going to have this information. And this information, if you went through our steps on how to set up the company, you will know that Oasis LMS University is set up earlier, and it's under the credential with the organization ID that I recorded earlier. So this completes the user's experience of earning the badge and sharing the badge via copy and paste copyable link using chat or post in LinkedIn, or directly add it to the license and certification section of LinkedIn. Thank you.
Video Summary
In this video, the user pretends to be a student named Bill Gates who wants to become a certified Microsoft security professional. They log in and purchase three courses, although only two are needed. The user can click on badges and view the progress and requirements for the certification. The courses are simple and can be completed by clicking on them. Once completed, the user's badge status changes to "achieved" and they can enable certain actions. The user can copy a shareable link to the badge and share it on Facebook or in their email signature. The link allows others to view the badge without logging in. The user can also click to view the badge, which shows the same information as the link. The video then demonstrates sharing the badge on LinkedIn by sending it as a message or adding it to the user's LinkedIn profile. The badge appears under the license and certification section of the profile. The video concludes by stating that the user's experience of earning and sharing the badge is complete.
