It is possible that you might have a badge that is not intended for everyone to earn. In this case, I'm just going to go to list badges, and what I will do is I will create a private badge. So I'm going to say Certified Microsoft Marketing Professional. And the actual requirement for the course is really not part of my concern here. So I'm just going to say you got to finish all of these. And then what I'm going to do is I'm actually just going to set up a badge, even though that's really not what I'm trying to show, but I do want this badge to look like a real badge. So give me one second. I'm just going to do here, and I will also put in a little bit of wording that is just gibberish. So give me one second. I have a gibberish generator. I'm just going to generate some gibberish here. So now, I'm just going to add another one, Skill Marketing. Okay, all right. So I have this badge set up, except I don't want this badge to be, can be earned by everybody. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to say, hey, this is a managed enrollment instead of public. And this will be same idea as a private versus a public course, right? This badge is private. And then what I'm going to do is I'm just going to manage enrollment. I'm just going to say, hey, I'm just going to add a user. In this case, I'm going to say only Bill Gate can have the ability to earn this badge. So what does this do, right? So I'm going to just publish it. And then I'm going to minimize this browser. So Donald Duck is over here. I click on badges. Notice that this new marketing professional is not showing up for Donald Duck to be able to earn it because he is not enrolled. Whereas if I come over here to Bill Gate screen and I click on badges, notice that he, well, he's already in progress because he already did some courses that applies to the marketing professional. Notice that Bill Gate does have this particular badge. So the idea here is you can have a badge that is open for anyone to earn, which is a default behavior, or you can have a badge that really is only intended for a selected set of users. Thank you.
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker explains how to create a private badge in Microsoft's certification system. They demonstrate setting up a fictional badge called "Certified Microsoft Marketing Professional" and ensure it is only earned by specific users. By adjusting the enrollment settings, they restrict the badge to be earned only by Bill Gate, while other users like Donald Duck cannot see or earn the badge. This feature allows for personalized and exclusive certifications rather than being open to anyone. No credits were mentioned in the video.
