Now that we have discussed the image aspect ratio and how OASIS renders the image based on your image aspect ratio, we will continue the discussion of the text that is at the bottom of the image. So in this example, it happens to be an image that's 1 to 1 ratio, which is a square. And as we mentioned earlier, a square with a little bit of a space for text makes this whole tile a little bit tall versus wide. What we can do is we can go to settings. We can say, hey, I would like to turn the text off on the tile. When we do that, when I click on preview, you will see that the tile only has the image. It does not have the text. Obviously, when you do this, the user might be a little bit confused on what to expect when they click on the tile because it doesn't have the wording on it. To counter this problem, what you can do is, I'm going to go back. I have an example. This is the example where the image itself has the text on it. So I'm just going to click into it. I'm going to click on preview. So as you can see here, this is the same image. As a matter of fact, I'm going to put this on the right-hand side. I'll put this on the left-hand side. So it is the exact image on the left and right. The only difference is the one on the left, even though it is the same aspect ratio, the person who created the image overlaid the text as a part of the image so that you have full control over the look and feel, the size, and everything about the text because you're making it part of the image. So this is what you can do if you turn off the text, but you still want to give users some indication of what to expect when they click on the tile. So this is the example of a one-to-one or square image with text. I'm just going to close this one. I'm going to go back, and I'm going to show you a couple examples. So next example is a three-to-one, so I'm going to click on here, and I click on preview. So this is a three-to-one ratio with the text. I'm just going to remove the text to show you. Now it's a three-to-one without the text. I will put this on the right-hand side, and on the left-hand side, I will find the three-to-one example where the image has the text in it. I'm going to put it on the left-hand side. So now you can see the way that the tile is looking, they're the same size. The only difference is it has the wording as a part of the image. So this is what it's going to look like if you have just the image without the title because you put the title as a part of the image. Thank you.
Video Summary
The video discusses how to manage text within image tiles based on different aspect ratios, using a 1:1 and 3:1 ratio as examples. If you turn off the text overlay on tiles, users might be confused. To address this, text can be incorporated directly into the image itself, giving full control over its appearance. By embedding text within the image, you maintain clarity for users while achieving a cleaner tile design. This method is demonstrated with side-by-side comparisons of images with and without text embedded, highlighting the visual differences.
