Setup and Configuration (Ocean Layout)-3 - Adding Component to the Template

To start designing the ocean template, you must log in as the administrator, navigate to dashboard, and then click on catalog setting.  After you go to public catalog setting, you will notice that in this particular site where I am recording the demo, it has already selected the chef layout.  After we set up the template, we will switch it to the ocean template. But for now, let's click on website template page to set up the ocean template.  When you arrive at this page, you notice that you don't have any custom page yet. So we're just going to add a new custom page. And then we just call it, say, catalog main.  All right, so that has a name. And I can always go back to the list to see that here is a list of all the catalogs that I have.  So we're not going to go into detail of what all the buttons do. We're just going to click on the little pencil icon to start designing our catalog.  The first thing we're going to add is a widget that will give me some links as a first tile, and then two images that allows me to provide a hyperlink to go somewhere else.  So I'm just going to click on add component. And I'm going to scroll down to list of links with two images. So I'm just going to click on that.  All right, so I have added this row. And then what I'm going to do is I'm going to add one more row that allows me to add three images. Each one takes a hyperlink.  So I'm going to add a new component. And I will look for the one that has three pictures. This is good enough.  So all right. And then I'm going to add the last one, which is going to be three images that will take me to additional pages.  So what I'm going to do is just for variety, last time I have added three images. But this time I'm just going to select a hero info box.  Even though three images will also get the job done. So as you can see here, I have added three rows. And then I'm just going to click on back to list.  And I'm just going to click on this one to preview. So this is what the catalog is currently looking like without me actually doing much yet.  Later, I'm just going to dress it up a little bit in the next video. But as you can see, adding component to a template will very quickly allow you  to build out what the template will look like for the user.
