Video Transcription
In this video tutorial, we'll talk about how to set up a product with flashcards So you can make an on-demand course, and I'm just going to say a deck of flashcard And what I will recommend is that when you set up a product with flashcard It is recommended that you only have flashcard asset in the product instead of a mix Of flashcards and videos and audios and slides Even though the system allows you to do that, you create a weird user experience When you have a sort of a different type of asset in addition to just a flashcard So now I'm going to go to content, click on add, and I'm going to click on flashcard So I'm just going to add a few flashcard mechanics so that you can see what it looks like And note that the name of the asset is actually not displayed to the user So I can say flashcard 1, and I can say the front side of it is going to be some gibberish I'm just going to create some dummy text, and I'm not going to have anything here I'm going to go to back side, I'm going to say a cat is the answer So that's a fairly simple example of a flashcard where there are text in the front and text in the back And I'm just going to publish it so that we can sort of look at what the product looks like as we build them So I'm going to also duplicate this one, and I'm going to put this on the right-hand side And I'm going to put this on the left-hand side So the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to add another flashcard In this case, in this time, I'm going to say flash 2 And for the front side this time, I'm going to put some gibberish again In addition, I'm actually going to also put an image Just so that you can see what that looks like I'm going to put just a flag And in the back, I'm going to say a dog And then I'm going to add another one, another flashcard This one is flash 3 And I'm not going to put any text, I'm just going to put an image This time, I'm going to say it is just an image here And then for the back, I'm actually going to put a lot of text Just so that we can see what all the combinations look like Alright, so I have three flashcards now And on the right-hand side, I'm just going to click on access course to see what it looks like So this is what it looks like So the first one is just all text I can flip to see that's a cat This one is a dog And this one is a lot of text You can maximize Okay, and then you can go to next And you can also... Oh, by the way, this one, it has an image So you got to click on the image to see it And the third one The front side is the image, the back side is text Obviously, as you can see here When you add a flashcard You can actually put videos or anything else you want In addition, you can also add captions And I'm just going to put a caption here So people can see from the flag collection This is a flash 4 And I'm going to say this one is... I'm just going to say the front side is image And back side is also image So here we go Ah, back side, I'm just going to use a video Just to make things a little bit different Okay, and I'm going to have a caption here Called from flag collection So here we go Oh, there we go, it just added Okay, and then last I'm going to do is For the flash card 1 I will also do external resource I'm going to say question related to this concept And I can put a URL So this URL can be somewhere in Oasis Or somewhere outside of Oasis So I'm just going to pretend that it is outside Oasis Okay, so now let's take a look To see what this looks like now So as you can see here This one has a link That takes you to somewhere Okay, so that's the way you can do a related asset You can maximize and you can see that's where it is In addition, this one right here There's a little caption Just in case you want to give sort of credit To whoever provided the image So obviously you should build more flash card Than just 4, but this is how it works Thank you
