Video Transcription
This video will show how you can add a video to your course if that video is actually going to be hosted and played on another platform, such as YouTube or Vimeo. Find the course and click on add content. Oftentimes people actually select link and then say type in the YouTube link. And let's say this is a YouTube video, just as an example. Let's say we don't do this, just click on save. I'm going to actually click on this one. So here if I just refresh the screen, you'll see that this is a link. So that's not what you want. And then what people do is they will say, OK, I'm going to display an iframe. That actually is not going to work either because it's going to try to play the YouTube, but you won't play because the link you put in the system is not suitable for embedded play. So this is what you have to do. You have to click the link and then you have to select text. And this is a playing from YouTube. You click on a rich text box, you click on this little icon that says source code, and then you go to YouTube, you right click, you go to copy embedded code. All right. And then you just paste it here. So there's a few problem with this, but I'm going to show you at least if you do this, what happens. So I put a text that's really just HTML code. Now, if I refresh the screen, you will see that here we go. It's a it has a video, but it's a little bit cut off on the side, and that is because you have to by default YouTube actually play it in a bigger space. So I need to change it to eleven hundred. OK, now that I click on save. Now, if I refresh, you'll see that it's going to play in this box much better. So this is how you should add a YouTube content directly to Oasis, even though the video is going to play. As you can see here, it's going to play off the YouTube. OK, thank you. Thank you.
