In this video walkthrough, we'll show how to set up a survey the user must fill out before the user starts the course. So imagine you have a course, and it doesn't really matter what type of the course it is. You can go to Manage Feature and say Require Pre-Course Survey. When you do that, you have an additional tab called Pre-Course Survey that allows you to set up the survey. Notice that the system is structured so that you can have one survey that is used and then retired and add a new survey later on. So let's create a title. By default, it's going to call Pre-Course Survey, but we can give it another name. For example, Tell Us Something. And then you can add a little description here if you want. You can say, Please help us improve this library by filling out this survey. And then what you can do is you can actually set up the questions. The UI to set up the survey actually is identical to set up the survey that's available for the entire website. So let's just create a new survey. Question one, let's call it, How did you find out about this course? So you can have multiple choice, and you can, let's say do a custom, say Friend. You can have education website. And then you can have, let's say, email. So let's just say that's the email that we want to set up. So let's just add one more question. New content, can we reach out to you if we have new content? So then let's make this multiple choice. Sorry, yes. Let's say custom. Say yes. Let's say yes, comma, of course. And then let's say, no thanks. So now that we have set the two questions up, let's just go back. So everything's good. Notice that by default it's in edit status, so we have to publish it. So now that it is published, anyone who take this course will have to fill out the survey. So let's go to this course. So here we have the course, we're going to start it. Notice that when the user start, they have to fill this out. So let's say I found out about it from the email, and yes. And then maybe we can give them a phone number. So reach out via email, please. And then when they fill out the survey, they can start the course. So this is how a survey is set up, where the user had to fill out the survey before they start the course. It's very important to know that this survey is different from course to course, so that you can clone an existing survey across product, but there is no single survey that's repeated for each course. Now suppose that someone has filled out the survey. As administrator, we can go here, and we can download the result by going to the survey and go to survey result. So here's the survey result, and you can download user's responses.
