Let's say you also have a business requirement where the user is not allowed to claim the entire 48.75 credit. The reason can be numerous, but let's just say that physically they cannot attend all the sessions, so you are only approved to give out, let's say, 10 credits. But you want to give user option to pick and choose which one they want to get for 10 credit. They can still watch more videos and answer more quizzes, but they are not going to receive more credit after the 10th credit. If that is the case, what you can do is, as administrator, let's go back. So what we are going to do is, on the multi-part setting, what we can do is we can say, maximum credit capped, I can cap it at 10. So when I do that, and this course happens to offer a lot of credit types. If I click on update, what happens is system will automatically track how many credit the person have received all the way up to 10, and as soon as they meet 10, they can no longer claim credit. So I'm just going to refresh the screen here to show you what that looks like. So notice now it's become 10, and when they try to claim the credit, they are going to tell you how many credit they have received and how many is left for them to claim. So this will allow you to sell product where you can limit amount of credit that the user can receive from the product, but without restricting which course they actually watch or take to get that credit.
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker discusses a business requirement where users are limited to receiving a specific number of credits, even if they can access more content. The speaker suggests using the multi-part setting as an administrator to set a maximum credit cap, which will prevent users from claiming more credits than allowed. The system will automatically track the number of credits a user has received, and once they reach the maximum, they can no longer claim additional credits. This feature allows businesses to sell products with limited credit availability while still giving users the freedom to choose which courses they want to access.
