Suppose you do not want to delete users' access when they lose access to the product. One of the reasons might be that the product is a subscription-based product, so you want users to lose access to the product, but would then prompt the user to repurchase the product, so that the user will then re-establish access to the product. In that case, do not click on Process Revoke. Instead, let's just highlight additional workflow. In the previous tutorial, we talked about how if the user has started the product, we'll give user access directly. However, that flow is altered if the product's access is flagged as revocable. How do you know if it's flagged as revocable? Just find the product. I'm just going to go to any product that happens to be on this system. Let's say I just select this one right here. I'm also going to select another product. If you scroll down, access revocable. If it's X, that means it's not revocable. That is a default setting that all the product will behave under. If you check to say access revocable is yes, that means OASIS will automatically trigger additional check to say, oh, dear user, you have started the product, but because this product's access is flagged as revocable, I need to check if the user still have entitlement to this product. Essentially, this step right here that I'm circling is invoked whether the user started the product or not. Notice that if they still have access to the product, we'll give them access. But if they don't, but they have started, OASIS is going to think, oh, you have already bought the product at some point, but you have lost access. I'm going to send you to repurchase the product. Note that repurchasing of the product is a little bit different than purchasing the product because you have to enable it to say, I need you to repurchase the product. This is how repurchase product is enabled. Click on manage feature. Make sure require purchase if revoke is checked. If this is not checked, the system will only say that your access has been revoked with no further instructions on what to do. If you want to change what is in the message the user sees when their access is revoked, go to configuration and click on custom revoked access message. You can create custom message including external URL to allow them to reestablish their access. This is only if, I want to stress, it is only if you're doing a subscription or something similar to that where the user will gain access on day one, lose access on day 100, and then needs to reestablish access after that. That's the only time you will want to use this more complicated workflow where a product's access can be revoked. Thank you.
Video Summary
In this video, the speaker discusses how to handle user access when they lose access to a subscription-based product. Instead of deleting their access, the user should be prompted to repurchase the product to regain access. To determine if a product's access is revocable, you can check if the "access revocable" option is marked as "yes". If it is, the system will automatically check if the user still has entitlement to the product, even if they have already started using it. If the user still has access, they will retain it, but if they have lost access, they will be directed to repurchase the product. To customize the message shown to users when their access is revoked, you can modify the "custom revoked access message". This workflow is only applicable for subscription-type products where access can be revoked.
