In this video tutorial, we'll do a slight different spin of the first certification exam with breaks. In this slightly different variation, what we will do is we will continue to have breaks between different sections, except that the break is actually not fixed duration. Instead, all the breaks will share a same pool of time that the user can take, so that a user can take longer breaks in the beginning and then they will end up with shorter breaks towards the end, or they will have shorter breaks in the beginning and then they will have more time to take break towards the end. As long as all the time add together, adds up to a pool of time that's being kept, the system will enforce those rules. So, to set this up, what we will do is we'll essentially just clone the exam that we set up earlier, just to make this process a little bit faster, and then we'll do the part that is different. So, I'm going to say this is a Level 2 exam, and I'm going to say Microsoft Level 2, and I'm also going to clone over all the questions and all the settings. Okay, so now that I've cloned everything over, I'm just going to go to the exams, and I'm going to go to the sections that I have set up. So, notice that the break time was copied over from the cloning, so I'm just going to change it to none to have a clean slate, and then what I will do is I will continue to use the same breakdown of 10 questions per section with three minutes for each section, okay, and I will continue to block user from reviewing previous completed sections. So, here we go. Just bear with me while I do the same setup that I did for the Variety 1, which I recorded earlier. Okay, one last section. So now what we have done is we basically said that each section, just like last time, the user has three minutes to finish all ten questions. But for the break, I'm going to say that you have altogether, let's say, ten minutes for all four breaks. So you say share ten minutes. So that way, the user can, say, take ten minutes in the beginning and ends up not having any time towards the end, or take very little time in the beginning and have more time to take break towards the end. Okay, so this is how you set up the exam in the very beginning. And in the next recording, we'll show the user experience when the setup is this particular configuration. Thank you.
Video Summary
In this video tutorial, the presenter explains a slight variation of the first certification exam with breaks. Instead of fixed-duration breaks, all breaks share a pool of time that the user can utilize. This means they can take longer breaks in the beginning and shorter breaks towards the end, or vice versa, as long as the total time taken adds up to the pool of time allocated. To set this up, the presenter clones the exam and adjusts the break time to none, while keeping the same breakdown of questions and time per section. They allocate a total of ten minutes for all the breaks and explain how this setup works. The video ends with a mention of showcasing the user experience in the next recording. No credits were mentioned.
